Exclusive: Rauw Alejandro and Rosalía’s engagement ring details revealed

There are estimated values across the web on Rosalía's ring. While we (think we) have detailed pictures of the ring, without knowing specifics about the center stone, it is very hard to value. However, given the size of the center stone, and assuming it's a natural diamond and not a lab grown diamond, we would estimate that the total value of Rauw Alejandro and Rosalía's ring to be at least $100,000.

Rauw Alejandro and Rosalía are engaged! Social media was buzzing after the pair announced their engagement in a newly released music video, "Besos." Rosalía puts her gorgeous ring on full display in an emotional moment in the video.

The pair have not commented on their engagement beyond the confirmation in the video (though a scroll through her Instagram reveals he may have proposed as far back as June 2022). They have also been mum about the details of the ring. But a Miami-based IGS member emailed me with a tip: "I recognize the box in the video. It's from CustomMade.com. My husband made my ring with them!"

This email caught my attention, not only because I am a big Rosalía fan, but because we've also reviewed CustomMade.com. Did Rauw Alejandro make Rosalía's engagement ring with CustomMade.com?

I think he did. Here are the three clues they've left behind.

Clue #1: The Ring

Media outlets everywhere have posted images of the multi-stone engagement ring. To my eye, it looks like a white gold or platinum ring. The large center stone may be around 4-5 carats and it's probably a round brilliant with clusters of smaller diamonds on both sides as accent stones.

While beautiful, the setting doesn't tell us anything specific. We need to keep digging.

Clue #2: The Box

The image of the red box is what tipped off our eagle-eyed reader. We can see the sides of the box in the video, but there is no visible branding.

When I checked out CustomMade.com's Instagram account, I found something interesting. There are several images of their unique box. For example:

The shape of Rosalía's ring box looks very similar to the box on CustomMade.com's Instagram account. The cherry red box colors and carved looks are distinct details. Here's the side-by-side comparison:

This is a very strong lead.

Clue #3: The CustomMade.com Website

I then went over to CustomMade.com's website. There is nothing on the home page indicating they designed this ring, so I started clicking around in their ring galleries. Admittedly, this is where I fell down the rabbit hole. I spent longer than I should have looking at all of the designs. 

I was ready to give up, but then an image caught my eye on one of their gallery pages:

The ring looks very similar to the ring on Rosalía's finger with its large, round brilliant center stone and clustered accent stones. (I really like the milgrain detail on the shank.) I kept scrolling and stopped when I saw this image:

This ring has the same round brilliant center stone and clustered accent stone design as the previous ring. Notice, too, the milgrain detail on the shoulders. But this ring has at least one "R" emblazoned on the undergallery - possibly two "R's" (it's hard to see) because the caption says it's the couple's initials.

The letters "RR" could be anybody, but there are a few coincidences here. First, "RR" is the name of Rauw Alejandro and Rosalía's new joint EP. It is also, obviously, their initials. If this is the ring, then hat tip to Rauw Alejandro for making a meaningful and personalized ring for Rosalía. She's a lucky girl!

I reached out to CustomMade.com for comment, but they are tight-lipped. "We don't disclose the names of our clients," said Ty Wilson, co-founder and COO of CustomMade.com. "But we wish the happy couple the best."

I also reached out to Rauw Alejandro and Rosalía's representatives. I'll update the article when I hear back.

Clue #4: Her Tattoo

Update: In an article on Today.com, we found this photo of Rosalía's "RR" tattoo that seems to match the design of the "RR" on the ring.We think it's a match!
